Keep it simple, stupid
Follow the rule of KISS, try to create something simplistic, minimalistic, and reductionistic.
They do not have to be line drawings like the example image, but they can be if you want.

Instructions unclear, stick figures were harmed in the making of this image…
Made in Stable Diffusion using the latest Juggernaut model.
Prompt: Stick figures, pencil drawn, murdering each other, blood, guns, violence
Other versions:
Kinda reminds me of the old stick fight videos.
Haha yes! That’s exactly what I was thinking when I prompted for these!!
Final prompt In the Bingilator: “Sailor moon drawn in a an etch-a-sketch the drawing is done with only one continuous line. one line that does not stop. Bing, THE LINE MUST NOT STOP OR LIFT OFF AS THAT IS HOW AN ETCH-A-SKETCH WORKS!” So many tries, so many.
Bonus not in the running (I think the bingilator was making fun of me a bit):
I’m split on that one. It’s amazing, and I really like the idea, but on the other hand you didn’t kept it simple, neither in term of artwork nor in term of prompt. Take my upvote anyway :)
I swear it started simple! I just wanted a little sketch, but I got upset…
Couldn’t get it to not do shading. Dall-e
Prompt:A simple black and white line drawing of ‘Kilroy was here’, featuring the iconic long-nosed, bald-headed character peeking over a wall with just the fingers of his hands visible over the edge. The drawing should capture the essence of this World War II graffiti symbol in a minimalist style, focusing on clean lines and clear depiction of the character’s peeking gesture. The background should be plain to keep the attention on Kilroy.
My actual prompt: Make me a Kilroy was here black and white line drawing. Keep it simple

💋 KISS 💋
Prompt:minimalist style of pouty puckered lips
Ninja bunny.
Made with chat gpt 4.
Process: ask gpt 4 if it understands the kiss concept with reference to the Wikipedia page. After getting sure that gpt 4 is on the same page, ask gpt for pictures under the defined principle. I was not able to write “KISS” principle in the prompt as KISS seems to be censored.
Not really sure what we’re supposed to here, so I went simple minimalist
Prompt : A red circle over a gradient background, a filled half-circle represents a smile Model RealVisXL V3.0
Keeping it KISS:
Created in Bing (I even kept the prompt minimalistic): a minimalist black and white photo of the band Kiss
DALL-E: simple, peaceful, zen, quiet, water, wave
Single line Kiss
Prompt: draw a picture of a kissing lips symbol in the style of Picasso’s single line drawings. it should illustrate the KISS design principles (KISS = “Keep it simple, stupid”). the picture should follow the kiss principles itself and therefore should be very simple and straightforward.
Add on: something funny from the prompt history
During the creation process, I went through several attempts, because in the beginning, the Image Creator did not really produce minimalist graphics.
In one of the iterations, instead of creating another picture as prompted, Bing came up with a pun about “one-line drawing” which I screenshotted. I found it quite clever:
I tried Chinese paintings of smiling face:
Prompt:
A super-abstract condensed Chinese ink painting on beige rice paper about a toddler's smiling face, with empty margins around the face, symbolized, minimalist, (faint few strokes)1.5, (childish)1.5
Negative Prompt:
(signature)1.5, (text)1.5, watermark, ugly, uncanny, border, frame, desk, wall, pen, red, photo, oil paint, large-area coloring
GUI: EasyDiffusion
Model: A SDXL 1.0 model merged myself, is complex in terms of source and weight
Other results:
That second last one encapsulates trying to take a photo of a child so well.
These are all so joyful! I love them all.
Niji Journey: midjourney V6 model
Prompt: A minimalist line drawing of a woman in a string bikini full body view, holding a tame pangolin, in the style of Aleksandra Gruszczyk
A couple Bonus
Copilot
Prompt: create a sketchbook drawing of the great pyramid of giza. make it lightly drawn with black pencil only with short steady strokes of the pencil. make it look like a drawing on a notepad.

Not as simplistic as I wanted. I tried loads of prompts and my instructions for simplistic, crude drawings, even stick figure drawings were all ignored. Here we go anyway.
Here’s the prompt that generated this particular image.
A charcoal cartoonish drawing of a tree holding a brush and a color palette in a forest. Next to the tree, there is an easel and a canvas with a portrait of Bob Ross.
It’s beautiful and sweet none the less. Makes me happy!
Hey thanks :) I submitted it because I thought the idea was good, but the execution bleh.
It can take a lot of work to get what’s in our head but sometimes what we stumble upon can be even better than we imagined. You could call them happy little accidents.
Truth!
