I vaguely recall there being some situation on Squabblr (previously squabbles, for those ootl) regarding free speech, and a ton of users moving to Discuit
Yup, tons of users quit at once when the mod team faltered because of disagreements with the admin regarding hate speech content. That’s when I decided to look for a different platform and migrate completely to Lemmy (was here before as well)
For a while I was on squabblr, and the thing they did right was to encourage lurkers to post and comment.
