Lemmy.world grew from around 51000 total users the moment 3rd party reddit apps started to shut down on June 30 to 71000 total users at the time of this post (July 1). That’s a 40% growth in about 12 hours!

Welcome new reddit expats!

I’ve been an infinity user for a long time. It still works, but reddit has gotten so dull that I hardly ever visit the site anymore. I like it better here. I just wish infinity would move over here. Also, I can never sign into lemmy.world on jerboa, it keeps bitching about the server being too low. Connect for reddit is good, liftoff and also thunder. They’re all good, but you can tell they still need a ton of work (understandable). Best so far has been wefwef. Ironically, it’s a freaking webapp

Yeah, other than Jerboa, most of these apps have been built from scratch or retooled in the last few weeks. I tried Liftoff, it’s decent, but I think wefwef is the cream of the crop so far.

Yeah, wefwef has been very nice. I just wanted it to have notifications and also to stop throwing errors every now and then. Other than that, it’s very well done
