Well, I feel X broke as many rules as Tiktok, there’s not much difference between the two. The EU (and all others) should ditch both I would say. But that’s just my opinion.
I welcome the investigation against TikTok, but find it weird that Mr Breton announces that on Twitter/X, or is it just me?
I don’t understand how this is possible after the German Defense Ministry ‘illegally’ wiped von der Leyen’s phone in 2019 when she was German minister, although she admitted mistakes, but denied responsibility in defence contract scandal as defence minister, didn’t disclose her ‘Pfizer texts’ as Commissioner during the pandemic.
We needed more democracy in the EU, more transparency imo.
Journalist who helped expose the plot to kill Navalny has theory on how he died - (video, 2 min)
Christo Grozev, a Bulgarian journalist who exposed the operatives behind Alexey Navalny’s poisoning in 2020 and is included in Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “most-wanted” list, discusses his theories on what lead to the sudden death of the Russian opposition activist.
I apologize to @TheGrandNegus if I got this wrong. I obviously have misinterpreted their comment.
We urgently need something else than gas, no matter where it comes from. French company TotalEnergies is already delivering France with liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States.
If you’re a maker of something as complex as cars, and you order a lot of your parts from a country like China, good luck not having anything that benefited from forced labour.
I still can’t believe the west chose, of their own volition, to destroy their own manufacturing base. What a travesty.
If you don’t understand that, feel free to go to Xinjiang and work in one if the camps there. It may help you understand.
I hope the EU will soon introduce its Supply Chain Law as planned and make the use of forced labour a crime that can be punished.
Is there a movement of independence in Xinjiang.
In China you are handed long prison sentences or even the death penalty for criticising the government or taking photos in the public space. A ‘movement of independence’ would not exist for long.
Done. (And sorry, my fault.)

Just stumbled upon this site made by Matt Korostoff, a software developer from the U.S. It’s not about Europe, but very illuminating.

Yeah, if taken literally you’re right, but isn’t that clear in the context? The Ireland women’s basketball team wouldn’t shake hands with the whole of Israel, right? It’s what is meant imho.
I don’t get your points. The headline refers to the Irish team rather than the whole country as you appear to claim, and the Irish team members refused to shake hands after the remarks by an Israeli player which has nothing to do with their political leaders. Maybe I get this wrong but I don’t understand your comment.
Russians do target specifically all their minority groups for the SMO.
Apart from not sharing your opinion, what we have in Ukraine is a war. It’s called a war.
But if you think that it’s great to be in Russia, just go there and apply for Russian citizenship. I heard they are looking for new citizens. Good luck.
This is probably another attempt to punish critics by a person who appears to have completely lost touch with the world. I agree this will have no effect.
