I think you may be a bit behind on how large the notch is on new phones. It’s literally just the front camera hole on new phones, including Galaxy, Pixel, and iPhones. I’m fairly certain that’s also the case with the majority of other Android manufacturers such as OnePlus, but I can’t be bothered to check.
If you can’t see the difference between a tiny front camera hole vs straight up removing the corners of the device, idk what to tell you.

I think the point is politics in a nation can change at any time, and as such you may lose the domain/no longer feel safe supporting that nation. My friends base model kia soul from 2013 has less issues with gaps in the body and awful craftsmanship with regards to interior trim than the two model 3s that are in my family. The same has been true for quite literally every car I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned real pieces of shit. It’s also been in the shop less despite having been around an extra 7 years.

It’s becaude it’s a free trial. XM either directly pays car manufacturers or subsidizes the additional hardware costs, XM gets people to try their service who never otherwise would have, car dealers get another feature to add to their list.
Unfortunately the results of, say, 240p > 720p tend to be nowhere near as impressive as 720p > 1440p. Just not enough info for it to play with.
It’s the same general thing as DLSS in games. Saying 720p > 4k upscaled is comparable to 1440p is pushing it a bit, but overall the tech’s pretty impressive.

An oval shaped phone is simply far more impractical than a rectangular one. Sure, the far corners are a pain if you need to use it one handed, but that’s a significant amount of screen space you’re giving away for simply browsing things.
