They sadly don’t have 3.5" [floppy] drives anymore, and both the ISA and PCI busses are nowhere to be found 😔
I used pcpartpicker for my latest build it’s a good help when assembling and can help avoid those incompatible parts.

Must be Doom-Scrolling NSFW then.
The bane of Lemmy searches, or the medal of “My query was not specific enough”.
Medieval Dead aka Army Of Darkness aka Evil Dead 3
When the update happened, The version of Jerboa in the app store and fdroid was not compatible with the 0.19 changes as you could not sign in, so I just switched to Eternity (which seemed to handle 0.19 better) instead of looking for a RC version of Jerboa.
Edit: There are no problems with the current version of Jerboa (0.0.55) and Lemmy 0.19.2, just to make things clear.
I’m not sure how VPN will help against ads, without VPN Boost access the ads from IP A, with VPN Boost access the ads from IP B.
Not even one ad, it’s open source same with Eternity.
I switched from Jerboa to Eternity because of the 0.19 update fuss.
When it’s like that I’m happy we only have the cheapest netflix, and then 🏴☠️ when they eventually remove what you were watching.
They even removed One Punch Man 🙄
Same here, I never touch the provided router just connect my own pfsense box and if I want to access my local server I use my VPS. I have set it up so the home server does SSH forwarding over VPN to the VPS, my setup it’s a bit slow but it does the job.
The new 196 rule, you must post furry porn before signing out from Lemmy.
Headless Cat Café
It’s the sequel to The Fly, but this time Taz is fused with a man and a truck tire.
Sounds like using GUID instead of id’s would help, but that is not something you just switch, and there’s probably a bit more glue needed for it to be feasible.
Without knowing much about Lemmy I would guess that a bit more info is needed, along with some human interaction on both servers to validate the move.
When I signed up i wrote a bit about why I chose that server, I think that as a minimum would also be required.
Edit: I would also only allow moving between servers at the 1st of each month, just to cut down on work for the admins.
One way ticket to Mars, make it happen!
Great for the fediverse there’s many different codebases.
The folder icons got OS/2 vibes.
I think that’s against the plan with Lemmy and distributed instances, but they can improve sign up, and make it possible to migrate your user between instances, or do some unique username across all instances.
A cool feature would also be that a user could backup all their posts and votes.
I meant to write 3.5" floppy drives, and yes the 3.5" and 2.5" form factors are still going strong, even if the NVMe’s probably will reduce the use of 2.5"
