Well now, good boy, I guess!
Meaning that it will store your preference in a per user file and learn from your behavior. Tracking your every like and every comment, measuring every word you posted against every tagged key words available and serving you the most probable posts that matches the most with your profile.
And of course this would be open to the public given the nature of the fediverse. And then advertisers would just waltz in and pluck it from the records.
Lemmy is not your army
Apparently this.
Thank you so much.
Ah, nice, I’ll be a member and will be an OC poster as well though I rarely bring my sony mirrorless. It’s it okay to upload mobile photos?
What community is it, maybe I’ll try to plug it whenever it’s relevant to my comments.
So, what do they want, lemmy people have to do over time in posting so the lazy people get what they expect from lemmy. If they are lazy, they can stay with reddit.
Oh, I see you have zero posts, ever. Well why don’t you go and contribute to that niche community you are nagging about. Maybe that’s what it needs to grow.
Hmm. Thanks for the info, though I haven’t experienced that in tildes but I’ll keep that in mind.
well definitely not me, But think for a second, why did reddit hate the blackout, partly because it affected the r/all feed. where , im guessing, that they have figures that states that r/all browsing users have significant numbers.
And clearly that’s what is so dangerous about reddit. Being a one stop shop. Their algorithm totally controls what people see, specially people whose only browsing All.
Got me in the first half
Tildes is staying the same. And I like it that way. Lemmy is getting busy and I also like it that way. I go to tildes or lemmy depending on my mood. Haha
I totally forgot about squabbles. I haven’t gone there for weeks now. I don’t know the reason why, I’m just being pulled to lemmy and tildes much more.
I noticed a somewhat trend of reddit like replies, you know the usual one liner tired puns, never ending chain of them. The replies were aggressive and argumentative. Some comments straying from the topic of the post, in favor of making in jokes that were traceable to reddit it’s origin (obviously because majority came from reddit)
Right now, there is less of that. Might be most people got tired and returned to reddit.
It very nearly did. I was noticing reddit like behavior during the july 1 period of lemmy. Thankfully it has subsided and the general civility of discourse has returned.
Either that or it’s because I have blocked enough people already to weed out the assholes.
Because they crave more growth rather than prioritizing stability and being true to what they’re purpose of existence is. These social media forum try to be everything and that is their downfall. Being focused on what you were built for and being damn good at it is the real key to a platform’s long life.
I browse All and block any subs or users that are toxic. After a month. My All feed is enjoyable and I get the benefit of not missing any new subs or content that pops up.
