The cause isn’t “investors”, they are a symptom, of capitalism, the actual cause.
Housing is a human right and should not be commodified, anything less than that should no longer be acceptable.
So people who use their phone to communicate like deaf, blind, and/or nonverbal people or those who don’t speak the language and use it to translate, as well as those who need it to help ease anxiety or as a barrier between themselves and an overwhelming world (in other words - disabled and other marginalised people), can go fuck themselves, can they?
Oh wait, don’t tell me, “if there arises a need an exception will be made”, which is basically saying disabled and other marginalised people can go fuck themselves, unless they are willing to be stopped, forced to disclose their personal and/or medical information to strangers and be scrutinised on the spot by people without any training with the potential of being punished if said laypeople decide that actually they don’t see good reason for the phone use…
Like, even without all of this the idea is a pathetic joke being enforced by power hungry control freaks, but the fact that they’re happy to so openly punish and exclude marginalised people (who might stay home rather than face a world where they can’t communicate, or where they might get constantly stopped and scrutinised for doing so) is just disgusting.

I think it’s important to relate the latter part to the former - beyond the privacy issues with not being allowed to wear masks (and having our bank accounts invaded), there is also the health aspect, and disallowing masks is one sure fire way to keep disabled people from assembling, since, you know, we don’t want to get covid, being significantly more likely to die from it (not necessarily because of the illness, but because our lives are deemed less worth saving).
The lack of any mask mandates already excludes disabled people from so many public spaces, this is just another way to keep us (as well as others, you know, first they came for…) from fighting back. as they strip us of every last human right.
So they haven’t stopped, they’re just making sure to cover their asses when they do hand over access/footage…
I just assume they are based on hate and opportunism.

As for regulations, if I wasn’t clear before - those who make the regulations are either obscenely rich themselves and/or are funded and controlled by the obscenely rich. Changing regulations isn’t going to happen unless the obscenely rich approve, and they never will.
As for the suggestion that Europe has socialist foundations - Europeans (previously all feudal) literally created capitalism and enslaved half of humanity to feed it. The countries they pillaged now designated “developing” and still exploited for cheap labour and resources.
