I agree with you there. Piracy for profit never seems to attract the most virtuous of characters. Not-for-profit piracy for the people, as a weapon in the fight against oligarchy and enshittification - this is the way.
This post is 4 months old my dude. Maybe the problem is that you don’t know how to filter your feed?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah that was a bit of a weird accusation. For the public record, I checked and there isn’t anything of that nature in your post history. I’ve removed @LemonLord@endlesstalk.org’s comment. You might want to contact the admins of endlesstalk.org if the harassment by that user continues.
No problem. In that case, you could use something like sonarr to subscribe to a specific show and have it download automatically when a new episode is available. It’s great for quality of life as everything happens automatically after the initial setup, and of course, you will avoid ads this way. There are plenty of guides on how to set up an *arr stack if you do a quick web search.
Another good option is to use something similar to Smart DNS Proxy to bypass geo-blocking by UK (and other) TV channels. I’ve been using it for years with no issues. There is some configuration involved, but it’s not too complicated. You may also have to change you system clock to a UK timezone for the BBC, since they sometimes check for that. I wouldn’t recommend using their DNS service for any other purpose though, since there are no privacy guarantees.
IMO most VPNs simply can’t keep up with their IP addresses being quickly blocked by UK TV websites, so they are very hit and miss for that particular use case. Plus it’s not their necessarily their core business, so they don’t put so much effort into circumventing geoblocking. You might find one that will work, but it will often be blocked in a few days or weeks. But your mileage may vary & you may get lucky.
I think most people would agree that artists should be fairly paid for their work. But when greedy, profiteering corporations are the ones commissioning and profiting from art, then IMO we have a moral duty to fuck with their exploitative business model.
It’s usually recommended to completely uninstall any previous versions of Adobe software beforehand, and as a precaution you can/should also use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to remove all traces that may be left behind. After that, perform a reboot and then reinstall the m0nkrus package. I haven’t installed that particular collection myself, so it’s possible it’s an error, but m0nkrus’ à la carte apps usually work without any major issues.
I’d also recommend reading this wiki for some alternative activation methods and tips in case you can’t get it working.
I’ve just requested for the moderator (@sunbrothersco@lemmy.dbzer0.com) to update the links in the sidebar and pinned megathread post.
We haven’t done any css theming on the wiki yet, it’s just using the vanilla django-wiki defaults. Perhaps in the future though :)

Hmm, I think you are right about those icons. I’ve just tweaked the layout slightly to make it more obvious what they represent with a text link underneath each one. Hopefully that’ll help others figure it out.
