My only pushback is that she used her fame to help indigenous people her entire career. If it was from a point of dishonesty, (could have been some type of delusion) she still tried to make the world better. It’s not a Jordan Peterson or Steven Seagal situation where they try to get legitimacy by association and only give lip service.

But ultimately, this isn’t an issue where my opinion matters much. I don’t have indigenous lived experience beyond close association.

This was an incredibly irresponsible story to ‘break’.
Who takes a look at Buffy and thinks that’s the story I want to break? Whether she is or isn’t doesn’t matter in the scheme of things. No matter what, Buffy’s been outspoken and a good representative for indigenous people her entire career.
Why would anyone think that they’re making the world a better place by ‘breaking’ this story.
The three reporters that wrote the original story should be fired. Same with the editor.
I’m ashamed of the CBC. How can they do this and not cover any actual story in Canada.

Easiest way is to look online for housing co-ops in your area. Unfortunately, there’s very few spots that come available. The last time a spot in mine opened up was when a member died. That was 2 years ago.

Canada has a very serious oligarch problem.
New Brunswick is literally owned by one family. (There’s circumstantial evidence that they’re poisoning a portion of the population in New Brunswick)
Our largest national grocer is owned by one family. (They’ve raised prices causing inflation that’s hurting the entire country)
One of our largest telecom companies? Yep. One family. (Canada has some of the most expensive telecommunications in the world)
Our mining companies commit atrocities all over the world.
Our government fights tooth and nail to ensure there’s no real opposition. We’ve only ever had two parties elected and they do the same things, but talk differently. (If you’re American, that probably sounds familiar)

Canada’s competition laws are a joke. All Rogers/Shaw had to do was to prove that the merger would be profitable for themselves.

That’s it. For the merger to be approved, they had to prove it would be profitable.

Canada’s monopoly laws actively encourage monopolies.
