Oh I got your point, but I also reject it. Google is objectively making the internet worse.
There isn’t any reasonable comparison to Apple or MS outside of they’re all too big and too unregulated.

Yup. It’s a slow process for me, but honestly the fediverse is proving a great resource for that.
As a percentage of population, so did Julius Caesar.
The reality is that Google is entirely dependent on ads and selling your data.
Apple and Microsoft, it’s just a happy side gig they can do.
Apple makes its money selling mediocre hardware and software for a premium markup.
Microsoft makes money selling Windows, Office(+Teams) and Azure to business users then from video games, then ad revenue.
You do realize that Google is far worse than Apple and Microsoft combined right?
Yes, that doesn’t change my point. In both cases it looks like the ecosystem had multiple niches that in the fossil record previously having different species apparently all filled with a single species. With Trex, one of the current theories is that it filled different niches as it grew up.
Although with Trex, there may have been a half sized version that was hunting alongside the big one(s).
Okay, so their approach to disenfranchised voters:
Eat the rich.
Layman here, but as I recall there is a more recent theory that the evolution of flowering plants (130ish MYA) played a role in the decreasing diversity of the huge dinosaurs.
The usual evidence used for that is that the Triceratops like species seem to end up with just the one, and Trex appeared to be the only large predator in its ecosystems.
Although I understand there is new evidence suggesting that the North American Trex specimens found might be at least three different subspecies.

Jeez, you’re telling me the oil industry Lied?
Oh. My. God.
Next you’ll be telling me that the pipelines they jammed into BC aren’t actually good for the country or the province.
The party might, but its leader doesn’t. He’s a gilded spoon rich brat.
Yeah the restaurant should have refused, or made him sign first. Where I am, that order is illegal for the restaurant to do. It’s not an option.
As such, I absolutely place the blame on him.
I suggest you do too.
The whiny guy ordered the burger to be medium done. He got it the way he wanted.
He is literally eating what he ordered, and was shocked when the restaurant tried to cover their ass for letting him order an undercooked burger.
Trudeau looks great, gives decent speeches.
Absolutely spineless and rudderless when it comes to actual decisions.
So now we’re on track to get a guy that makes Mike fucking Johnson seem like a upright and well adjusted individual.
No, absolutely not.
Karma is a gameification concept designed to hook you into constant interaction with the site. It is utterly toxic.
You can. But it then has to route through their modem+router single piece unit.
E.g. I have my own router which handles everything I need. But I switched ISPs recently to save 70$ per month, and the new company router has parts of its functionality, like turning off the wifi, built into their smartphone app and disabled in the admin panel.
Also the username and password for the unit is, by default, admin/admin. In 2023.

Therefore it’s not real and isn’t an issue.
They want compete privatization and deregulation.
Fact is that the wait list system works. It’s based on need. If you need surgery, you get bumped up the list, up to the top as need requires.
In a word, yes.
When a foreign ownership tax was previously used in Canada, the rate wasn’t 15%. It was fifty percent

That might be why they want to start integrating. Get a free user base and poach content to make it look like positive activity.
Reddit is dumb enough that they probably have a backup they kept of EU users.
