Yeah I’ve heard from a few people they pay less for auto insurance in Alberta vs BC. But there are many options for insurance that will effect your rates so unless they are comparing the exact same plan it’s hard to compare.

I suspect it’s a mix of private insurance and all the large pick-ups used in the oil and gas industry. It probably spreads to all the other drivers a little. There are a lot of contractors with big expensive truck sitting at around $100,000 in value putting around oil and gas country.

How long can they do that? I mean they need a constant cash flow to pay for all their overhead. If they start making less cars that also sends a signal.

Voting NDP is worse than voting Trudaeu in their eyes from speaking to a few of from that crowd. Don’t know what koolaid they’ve been drinking.

It’s not that big. Someone will try to use it when I shouldn’t, it’ll get challenged in the courts and they’ll get a fine and some better clarification.

Looks like mining will go the same way oil and gas has in BC. The First Nations bands will hold permits hostage until they get a bigger slice of the pie. They even require contractors to have partnerships with a band or a band contractor. The oil and gas contractors are all about having partnerships with bands these days.

I don’t blame the bands. These companies make hand over fist at the highest levels.

Damn right. Houses are always built as cheaply as possible and they need to really increase the standards we build our houses to. If there’s ever a push to make those changes you’ll probably hear push back from developers and others about how it’s going to further make houses unaffordable. Thats the smallest contribution to housing prices so too bad I say.

They also don’t want to bring it town because the dumb homeowners will just blame the current government when the prices correct themselves. It’s suicide for any party to willingly tank the housing prices. It’s only gonna get worse the longer we wait to do it. And it’s gonna be global because we aren’t the only country effected by it.

Anyone who votes for liberals hoping they’ll fix housing issues is an idiot. They haven’t done anything about it other than give handouts. Housing prices have still gone up and its only gonna me painful to correct the housing issues in Canada.

They keep trying to push that’s it’s a supply issue but I see it more of a price issue. Housing is over priced. You can build all you want but at market prices it’s too expensive for people to buy.

Yeah that won’t happen. Houses just get bought up by those who can afford so they a) can rent them out and b) use it as a safe investment. House prices need to come back down to fix this anytime soon so they can’t be seen as an investment.

You say socialized healthcare can be done good or bad yet you seem to paint it with a bad brush like it’s inherently a bad system.

It’s really how you manage it and in Canada it’s been poorly managed and lots would argue that’s been done on purpose so they can use it as an excuse for privatization.

So don’t lose faith in the system because no matter how bad it is, you’ll be in far worse position if it was privatized and ended up like it is with our neighbors to our south because they’ll eventually have their way if we let them.
