There is a single aspect in which the Switch remains superior: Simplicity. Sure, you could take the time once to set up Yuzu and your Switch games and be rewarded with superior performance.

But the technically less experienced user might be put off by the fact that you can‘t just plonk in the game and play it. That‘s however not exclusive to the Switch.

I tried downloading Switch games from uuuuh… rather bespoke sites and they had a rather uuuuh… curious idea of what ads you could throw into the users face. Vivaldi‘s integrated adblocker simply couldn‘t handle those sites. That discouraged me from downloading games for now. Luckily MIG-Dumper is there to save the day and allow me to back up my games to later play them in Yuzu.

Isn‘t the battery simply mounted with sticky tape and thanks to the case being screwed in still fessibly replaceable by the user?

The EU is (finally) coming for Apple‘s ass. So Sideloading might finally become a thing on iOS.

Until then we have Signulous to sign our apps for Sideloading. There are also other options but those require a PC nearby so up to three apps can be signed for 7 days at a time.

According to some users, Threads made a bunch of bot accounts to reach 108 million users. However i don’t have proof, nor do i know why it’s 108 million bots (or copied profiles) instead of around 2 billions.

Mr. Mastodon, tear down this wall!

If i remember correctly, Threads just uses your pre-existing Instagram account so 108 million is a veeeery theoretical number. We will see how many users actually move to Threads and whether our instances don’t block Threads instances.

Just look for the things that you are interested in. That’s how i accumulated many of my followed accounts over time as well as subscribed subreddits over time.

You can also look for users under the same name on Mastodon and (hopefully) find them.
