I question this article a little. The writing is over the top with some of the descriptions, mistakes like D.M/H.M, the level of personally identifiable info dispute trying to appear they are protecting folk’s identities… I’m not saying it is wrong or isn’t true, but it doesn’t read like reputable journalism. I’d like to see it show up in at least a few other publications aside from this substack before I’m willing to accept it as is.
Also, regardless of what is happening, exfiltrating personal banking info and posting pictures of it online is gonna get some folks in deep trouble…

Suddenly, a devilish figure springs from the shadows to aid our heros! While Jesus and Santa look on with disgust, Kringle gives a knowing nod to the hoofed figure.
Eyes glowing, the newcomer slowly draws forth a simple birch switch. Camus and his ally of endless toil are taken aback, bemused smiles spreading across their faces. “What new absurdity is this?” laughs Camus.
With a devilish grin, the newcomer calls on his patron to summon eldritch fire along his birch blade. “You’ve been bad, bad boys,” says Krampus, the tiefling Warlock. “It’s time for some punishment.”

Food still got .4% more expensive in July than it was in June.
Since last June, food is 7.8% more expensive.
The decline in the rate at which fruit prices are rising was due mostly to cheaper grapes and oranges.
This is still not good news.
I mean StatCan just removes those pesky volitile goods and that fixes inflation for them. Can’t the plebs do that too?
It takes more than fast servomotors and bad programming to kill a Jedi.

I’ve shown my parents how to do some tech tasks many, many times. And they still don’t get it.
Maybe, similar to self checkouts, it’s a combination of being so used to doing things a different way or not needing to do something at all, deeply believing they are “bad at tech” and creating a self-fulfilling prophecy, and knowing it’s easier to just ask for help than to actually become proficient on their own.

Oh man I do not want to have to wait at the door, check and make sure they didn’t double-bill me for something or charge the wrong price, then try and argue when this inevitably happens…
Nuclear bombs are very different than cluster munitions.
The Russians are already mining-remining Ukranian soil, creating an unexploded ordinance issued for generations. In fact, Russian is also using cluster munitions, so the problem with them specifically already exists.
Similar cautions/implications/unfortunate consequences for mines will be needed for unexploded cluster munitions, so this will need to be dealt with regardless of if Ukraine uses them.
The elected leaders of Ukraine have made the tactical choice to do this, have weighed the trade-offs, and convinced an inittialy-hesitant America to ship weapons. Who are you/the world to interfere with their sovereign decisions on their own land, with consequences largely confined to their own land?
If you are an American/Ukranian and oppose your country providing/receiving these munitions, contact your representatives.
