Yea, soldering that without a microscope (or similar) seems veeery infuriating, lol, according to the videos I watched.

I have not recognized sound issues in my current emerald run on VC. But sometimes (it is supposed, due to slow SD cards), the top bar of the image is shown in lower part of the screen. For me, going home and restart the VC game fixed it normally. I just love booting games from the 3ds Home Screen
Yes, many games run smoother and better on the deck, it just is very big and heavy achieving this.
3ds with hshop and ghost eShop is just awesome 🥰
Playing Nintendo first party games on Nintendo consoles is superior for many Nintendo first party games lover. It is just as it was when one was small 😄 that’s why right now, I go for 3ds.
My 3ds will live 20 more years easily, my batch one switch as well, tho
It sure does, you can inject gba files into gba Virtual Console Titles and create a new .cia file to be installed using FBI. Of course, there are many premade gba .cia files already out there (found the most important ones on reddit posts)
I now have all the pkemon (from red to ultraMoon) on my 3ds Homescreen. Additionally I have installed pksm, which gives me local pokemon bank functionality, backup of my save files, and many more features for all those pokemon versions.
I really can recommend 3ds ( 3ds.hacks.guide ). But a unpatched batch one switch, can all this and a lot more faster and for ever as well (there is a pksm for switch as well). With a newer switch, you have to solder some stuff IIRC.
Only 1.92 Tb? But 12Gb/s 😊 nice, like half of the speed of my internet 😂😜
😮wait, nonono, internet is only 25Gbit/s not byte, woops
My friend prepared me a router using OpnSense FOSS software on a APU board with 3 Ethernet ports and some other debug ports (usb and VGA) So my internet input is now like this -> coaxial cabel -> ISP modemRouter in modem mode -> Ethernet-> OpnSense APU -> Ethernet -> WiFi access point / Ethernet switch -> WiFi access point satellites
As wifi access point, I use a Orbi WiFi router in bridge mode. My tv streaming device is connected via Ethernet to Orbi and has the full 600mbit down that arrives at my home 😇
I love STARS for all the german anime for my son ☺️😇 They could just adjust the naming sheme a bit to work better with *arr But that concerns all german releases.
😮really, that would be really not intuitive design, have to check this on my OpnSense, in that case
But generally, ads are always blocked, tho.
Edit: See pic for how tailscale describes it:
I understand it so, that your DHCP (your tailscale and for me OpnSense) will give the complete DNS list to devices, and those decide how to handle DNS lookups and may prefer mullvard prior AdGuard and thus will show ads. If that happen, you have to disable mulvards DNS server by removing it from the list.
Umm, I mean Netflix originals on my plex Mediatek 😄😉
I would install AdGuard as docker container and set the IP with which this Container is reachable as Nameserver (DNS) in tailscail
You can most likely leave the DNS server of mullvad as second priority so you have a backup if your AdGuard container is not reachable
But im just a noob with a sysadmin friend, lol
After short research, I think, that the change of takedown is bigger with debird as with usenet due to the decentral nature of the usenet. On usenet, your provider may ho down, but you can just config a new provider and continue to use your setup as is (same media manager, same downloader and same Indexer), with debird, it seems to me, that it is a very centralized service, that in theory can be nuked at any time. Please correct me, if I am wrong
O dear, 😂, thats bad for longevity of such a expensive device (or would it be doable with an SW update?)
Luckily I’m poor and doesn’t have to think about that 😂 but would be nice to get this first edit, since it is the most likely jailbreakable vision ever made I guess. Well if really never one releases with a data port, or similar.
I wonder if the apple vision pro is able to play AV1 files 🤔 i guess, would be really bad if not
Seems very legit and I appreciate that you took the time, to write this text! I completely agree, what I had in mind writing “root” was in fact what you have written: additionally to root, make open the bootloader possible and provide info in order for community to make an OS that runs on that devices.
And if only install of custom Android ROMs must be easily possible, it would already be way better, than it is today.
Ah, I see, I guess WireGuard would be able to handle this, in that case, since you can choose which IPs go through the tunnel and which not. But honestly, I always plug my phone into the car by cable.
😳what?? Why would AA not work with VPN?! What a deal break, lol, I guess I’ll keep my iPhone X in the car for CarPlay after switching to a new (maybe not apple) phone in that case
I talking modded Nintendo hardware, because it is the hardware style that the games are designed for, talking form factor and input devices. Especially in handheld mode, on the TV, it does not matter on what the game runs, at least for me
