Sarcasm aside, you’re not wrong. The top result for “Lemmy” (that isn’t about Motörhead) is for Join-Lemmy.org. I’m a tech-minded person, but when I saw this “join a server” crap instead of a front page, I decided that I’m too old and that it’s too much effort to figure out. Now imagine someone who isn’t tech-minded wants to join. They’ll fuck off even sooner than I did.

Hell, the only reason why I’m here is because I decided that Imgur isn’t a good alternative. They’re no better than reddit (i.e. no 3rd party apps). So I decided to stop being lazy and figure it the fuck out. Others might not be as motivated.

Ban instances like Hexbear and Lemmygrad from showing posts to normal people on All. Make them as difficult to find as possible.

Sync is garbage. I’ve tried every Lemmy app and settled on Voyager. It’s no Relay but it’s one of the most developed Lemmy apps available.

(I’m still upset that Relay’s developer decided to play along with Spez’s new rules and start charging users for API access. It was such a good app and I’ll miss it dearly)

I have the same issue on Lemmy, but at least there’s All. I can’t figure out where “All” is on Mastodon.

There’s a setting in UBlock Origin that will automatically reject cookies and prevent the pop-up from showing. You should enable it.

I’m confused by your link. It just leads me to a page to download yet another Lemmy app. I don’t want to do that. I’m happy with Infinity and Voyager.

I agree with this. Plenty of content on All, not so much once you start doing a deep into communities. It’ll improve with time.
