When did it even come to a vote? My understanding is they just glossed over entirely.
I’m leaning towards NDP over the others, but depends what they promise closer to the election.
All I’m saying is the Libs will never gain my vote for election reform. They may win my vote in other ways, but not that way.
I’m going to try voting for a party that says they will end first past the post voting, if there are any. Except the party that already have made that promise and not delivered. Fool me twice and all that.

I’m not treating it as sex Ed at all. It’s entertainment, like an action movie or something. Not at all realistic. Which is why it’s so important that trusted adults explain this to them.
And yes, I want them to be a bit traumatized by the Holocaust. I agree in teens is where it is appropriate, but it is still traumatizing. That’s the point.
I am so so so thankful that MAID permitted one of parents to die with dignity. The only alternative was them offing themselves about 6 months earlier. I am forever grateful for those extra 6 months that I had to spend time with them.

I refused to use a realtor when buying a home in Northern BC. So I just found a seller who also didn’t want one either and was selling something that met my requirements. It was a super easy transaction with literally no problems at all and saved me many thousands of dollars.
Everyone told me this would be impossible. It wasn’t. It was extremely easy.
It’s not even contrarian for me, I think children viewing porn fundamentally improves society provided they receive appropriate context through discussions with trusted adults (like parents). And those discussions only happens when people become more comfortable talking about these things, which restrictions do not help at all.
I also completely support children seeing video footage of executions, dead bodies and the severely malnourished with a trusted adult (like a teacher) to provide context. This improves society, and is how I learned about various things, like the horrors of the Holocaust, accurately.

I was taught in school exactly what we as a species needed to do to stop global warming when I was in elementary school… This was like 25 years ago.
But we didn’t do any of what was required and instead added like 2.5 billion to the population since then. Great job guys! Lol
I think this does open them up to a wrongful termination suit. But I also highly suspect the employment agreement listed something vague about ‘a public image that positively reflects on the employer’ or some shit like that. It almost always does for teachers and other workers in schools. Might not hold up in court, but I bet it was in the employment agreement in some form.
For anyone curious, 6.5m out of the 38m total population claimed it. So it would cost close to 6x as much if given to everyone (if even children included).
I support the concept of basic income in general, but this was a different situation specific to COVID job loss.
