I would spend the money on a domain. There’s lots of new TLDs to choose from and some are cheap. A .stream domain is $3.99 at namesilo as is .link.

This is the first time I’ve seen this one. Best result I saw from 30 seconds of googling:
In 2020, the National Runaway Safeline (NRS) began using LGBTQIA2S+ to recognize those who identify as “Two-Spirit.” This phrase refers to people who identify as having both a masculine and feminine spirit, and is used by some Indigenous and Native communities.
“Two-Spirit” describes the cultural-specific understanding for the diverse gender traditions of Indigenous and Native people. Historically, Two-Spirit people were among the most respected in their communities, often serving as community healers, ceremonial leaders or caregivers to the elderly or orphaned children. This is consistent across many cultures who experienced extreme oppression and intergenerational trauma through periods of colonization. Today, young people who identify as Two-Spirit may suffer from inequalities perpetuated by a legacy of discriminatory laws and policies.

Same here, I have 3 instances blocked and don’t really see tankie crap. Just tons of spam.
Yeah it’s basically old twitter before all the political drama and bots. The discover tab isn’t full of rage bait. I expect if you stop needing an invite to get in it’ll go down hill quickly.
Looks great so far, finally a good mark down editor. One thing, if you go to comment on a post the cancel button doesn’t do anything for me.
Click the aA on the left of the address bar and click turn off content blockers. If that fixes it you have a safari extension causing it.
Most mail services will block self hosted mail servers because you have no IP reputation or if you’re using a VPS could have an IP that previously ended up on a blacklist.
Are you running your own mail server?
Same, I started with Lemmy.world to begin with because I didn’t really understand the fediverse and didn’t want to go through choosing. After I understood federation more I set up my own instance. If I didn’t start with Lemmy.world I probably wouldn’t have tried Lemmy at all.
Them having their own instance would serve the same purpose as being verified because of the domain.
The dev of Lemmy Easy Deploy has ARM64 builds.
Instead of linking vps to the affiliate link it would be better to add something below it like “We recommend hetzner " which would be the hetzner link and at the bottom of the page add " we may earn compensation for affiliate links” or something like that. I would expect clicking vps to go to something explaining what a vps is, not to a certain provider.
If you say Reddit 5 times in a mirror a snoo comes and locks your brain behind an overpriced API.
Nobody is federated with threads because threads doesn’t even support federation yet and there’s no actual ETA for when it’ll launch.
It would solve the verification problem that twitter has now that they want organizations to pay thousands to be verified. Instances ending in a .gov domain would be obvious legit government accounts.
Yeah it’s not enabled yet, just planned.
Does the image get stores on the poster’s instance or the instance hosting the community they’re posting to?
Yeah, that’s exactly how you use it.
I was going by sorting tldlist by renewal price but I see now the price doesn’t match. .link is cheap to renew.
