There are some top level issues are some smaller (but no less problematic) issues underneath.

They probably need to be spoken about.

The big two are:

Issue 1) Why should I leave, or partially leave reddit?

Issue 2) Why should I go to lemmy?

The issues I have and have heard about.

1. Isn’t it full of tankies and trannies?

2. Do I join lemmy.com or what? There are a load of websites which do I join? How do I join?

3. Is there a app for this?

4. Isn’t it dead over there?

And remember a lot more people read comments than reply to them, or even vote on them. Just because no one asked about something doesn’t mean 10 people didn’t read you comment and think. “I’m not going there because of XYZ”

It’s not like these experts and doctors post a list of evidence for how their decision is made. I don’t really know what you expect for me. Maybe you could send some emails to the growing number of health boards?

I want to use revanced and figured setting up a youtube account not attached to my Gmail is a good idea. But they require a phone number.

Funny you should say that Sweden used to keep data on things like skin colour and nationality but the data that came out if it gave fuel to people saying certain nationalities cause more crime. Now it’s unreported.

Some people come from different cultures with higher levels of crime. They come to Sweden and they aren’t automatically going to be model Swedes, just keeping doing what they do at home but now in another country. Or it gets worse because they don’t see it as their country.

Lots of countries have city hot water. It’s a simple concept. I don’t there there is that much heat wasted covering that many people in such a small area.

I just wondered about the economics. I think most of the current ones use waste heat from electricity generation

At what point is city wide infrastructure the answer?

Especially for hot water. Is it worth ripping up the roads and putting in hot water pipes or are we at the point in “electrify everything” that it’s actually cheaper to have individual appliances for everything.

I can’t help put think with hot water most is used in morning or at night. Seems like a huge storage tank that is filled at night and at peak solar is beneficial for the grid.
