10 months agoThen what is it? A war in a highly urbanised area, with one side, Hamas, deliberately and illegally blending their fighters in with the civilian population. That same side has also broken literally any agreement ever made with it, including the most recent ceasefire by the way, has continually and deliberately attacked civilians for years by firing rockets at civilian settlements in internationally recognised Israeli territory, and it has clearly stated that it will not accept any agreement that sees it giving up power in Gaza, which should make it obvious why negotiation simply isn’t an option for Israel.
Individual politicians calling for something doesn’t make it government policy. It’s concerning, but so far that’s all that it is.
