The fact that I’m getting down-voted means I guess people feel that I’m criticizing the legalization of assisted suicide.
It’s possible to believe that assisted suicide should be legal and also believe that it’s incredibly bleak that people are so hopeless. Remember when this started we were talking about how it’s not humane to force someone to say drown own their own liquefying lungs or something. Now our society is apparently going to a place where people would rather quit living than go on after their spouse has passed. How did we get here?
Wow this thing is getting real bleak real fast.
Maybe he should offer to give them even more money NSA so long as they promise to reconsider the layoffs?
Isn’t it amazing how we’re supposedly so much richer than we were as a society in the 1950s, when they didn’t have computers, they didn’t have cellphones, they didn’t have jet airplanes or genetic engineering and yet:
How did 70 years of supposed progress leave us unable to afford the basic necessities of life?
My parents? Honestly people who still watch TV news sometimes seem like they’re living in a different reality.
Very similar to the “Problem Bear” who had to be put down due to a “Failure to integrate into German society”

Based on the voting I guess you’re not the only one. Either that or this sub is split 50/50 on hockey’s reputation.
I, for one, certainly hope that this isolated incident doesn’t besmirch the good name of youth hockey.
My experience is that the UK is about as prudish as the USA.
This strategy is called “Starve the beast.”
They destroy a public service by under-funding it, then insist that the only way to fix it is to privatize.
Soldiers sniping obviously innocent people (including women going to church, and hostages trying to escape in their underwear waving white flags) is definitely murder.
They have a strong relationship with Russia due to their communist ideals
What on earth is communist about Russia?
How many have been applauded by parliament?
It was included in the ticket because if you didn’t check a bag the belly would be empty. Now if you don’t check a bag they get to fill the belly with air freight, so they want you to try to jam your life into the overhead compartment so they can resell the belly to cargo customers.
The problem is a lot of cyclists don’t bother to hit the button, then just keep barreling straight on through.
So they should be expected to stop the bike, get off of it, go push a button, then go back to the bike at every single intersection? Maybe the “problem” is this horrible, cyclist-unfriendly crosswalk design.
This is illegal in the US. It’s called “secondary strikes” and was banned by the Taft-Hartley act.
The Taft-Hartley act was passed during the red scare. Truman tried to veto it but was overruled by congress.
They’re so naive to be against ethnic cleansing!
If your coffee is so great why do you drink it out of such tiny cups? – Jon Stewart
I think I’m going to need John Travolta to explain this one to me.
