What is the purpose of the device? I’m almost certain that there is another option, which is just a small PC running whatever software you need.

I’ve used odoo before, it is a large piece of software and can be modified to do lots of things. Most likely you will be able to get it to do what you want. You’ll probably need the e-commerce module, there is probably some sort of mode for subscriptions. You can also add the CRM on top for marketing, etc. there is also the booking module (iirc) which is maybe useful for sessions with trainers etc. maintenance might also be useful.

resistance genes are often carried on transferable elements like transposons and plasmids, which often contain multi-gene cassettes encoding for many types of resistance. I would also like to be hopeful too, but every antibiotic we have developed has had resistance develop against it, also within multidrug resistant strains like MRSA and CRAB. I think we should be hopeful for phage therapy, as well as AB + phage combination therapy. I think relying purely on antibiotics is a bit of a dead end.

I think bacteriophages should be investigated much more, unfortunately I don’t think big pharma is that interested in them, although they are also pretty uninterested in antibiotics too, because they generally don’t make much profit. So I think at least in this economic model in the west we are unlikely to have them widely available. I am admittedly quite out of date, all I remember is that there was more research and use of them in eastern europe/russia.

The cells that encase the nerves (receptors) get infected, and become inflamed. This then means the nerve cells cannot transport nutrients along them, and can’t send a signal. Eventually that can lead to death of the nerves as well. This is also the way they found COVID to spread through the brain, not through the nerves themselves but the supporting epithelial (I think is the right name) cells.

I’m not sure if brain size directly correlates with intelligence. We also have pretty limited methods of describing and measuring intelligence, intra as well as inter-species.

A bit off the mark there, I did not mean that sexism is when a theory is challenged, and neither am I American. I was referring to the fact that most of these evolutionary anthropology dogmas were established a long time ago by men, when science had basically no participation by women (That’s the sexist bit). So now when our slightly more balanced scientists look at these old dogmas they can start to challenge it. In those times saying that women don’t run as efficiently because of wider hips would probably not have raised any discussion (Because there were no women). Now women can rightly challenge it and look for data to support the claim, which seems to be lacking, and in fact it supports the null hypothesis that it does not affect efficiency of running.

I also don’t mean it has to be women to challenge that idea, but it makes sense to me that they would be more likely to.
