Crazy that there is ANOTHER plot being uncovered. Also very interesting that Iran was using Hells Angels and paying over $300,000. Didn’t the Canadian guy that was part of an assassination plot from India agree to do it for like $3,500?

This seems like it will help no one except the universities. I guess they need another way to extort people since they can’t bring in an unlimited number of international students anymore. Let’s see how ‘affordable’ the new student housing ends up being. I’m guessing $2000/month for a bed in a shared room?
Pretty much everywhere except the largest metro areas. I’ve sat in Kelowna for 10 hours to get checked for appendicitis and had to come back the next day because they didn’t have techs by the time they saw me.
I didn’t explain enough I guess, CBC has stood behind minority reporters before and it sure they would do it again while as CTV will fire them.
I guess my point was not laid out very well. I highly doubt CBC would be firing someone for this, yet CTV is. The Conservatives want a news agency that will fire someone for speaking the truth and attending a rally about the death of their own people.
This is part is why the conservatives want to defund CBC.
I learned a lot from visiting my Dads friends in Athabasca. Nothing good.
Nazi whitewashing in Alberta? I never would have expected 🙄.
I grew up in that province, and left as soon as I could. When I go back to look at my friends from high school on Facebook, pretty much all the ones that stayed in Alberta are the type of people who would like this. Alberta has done an amazing job at raising generations of ignorant, bigoted people and making everyone that did not fit that mould want to leave. The only ‘safe haven’ seems to be Calgary, and that is still a stretch.
Most of the products hitting the shelf are non alcoholic RTD though, not beer or wine. Some vodka seltzer brands are even coming out with their own brand of seltzer and it’s going to cost about the same as the vodka version.
If the companies making these drinks had the pricing in line with other nonalcoholic drinks it would make more sense, but the prices are the same if not higher than actual alcohol.
I honestly don’t understand this trend. It seems like craft sofas but more expensive
People where I live regularly sell trucks on FB for 60-80K, and they are used with 100,000 km on them
I find it really funny that ‘ManitobaFreePress’ isn’t free.
If you simplify anything that much it seems like a great idea. You obviously don’t know much about the Cannabis Act.
Health Canada has also made some ridiculous limitations. They are the reason all the warning labels have to be on everything, and why packaging is so bad that it ruins the buds. They also established some very restrictive rules regarding edibles and extracts. A 10mg limit for edibles is crazy and one of the big reasons that black market edibles are so popular.
Taxes are too high, rules for storage actively ruin the products. It really didn’t do much to stop illicit sales; most people I know that didn’t start smoking when it became illegal never buy from the dispensary. They did a terrible job of handing out liscensing, and most of the people who got them were just rich people making an investment(and lots of them had previously supported prohibition because they are also involved in alcohol sales) instead of working with non violent offenders to help them transition. And the edibles and drinkables people are talking about are so bad because the government made arbitrary THC limits.
That’s not something to be proud of. Just because someone does it worse doesn’t mean you should be proud of how it’s done.
The way Canada has handled cannabis legalization is embarrassing.
IMO charging $16 a glass for another IPA with the same 3 hops that are in every IPA is pretty evil.
This is a really cool little doc. I didn’t even know what a Jamaican party was before, but they are amazing.
Everything that the federal government announces ‘could help’ the issues that they are supposed to help, but the complete lack of oversight and accountability means it rarely ever does anything. How much of this money is going to be eaten up in administrative costs before houses can even be built? What does the government mean to when it says “affordable housing” and what happens if the housing that is created with this money doesn’t fall into that category?
