US and Canada are very very close allies, so I would guess this statement was made with some checking in with each other first. It’s good that someone who is also supporting Ukraine can chime in on the human rights issues.

I hope those workers make a speedy and complete recovery. While I’m sure everyone on offshore platforms prepares for fires it must still be so scary if/when it happens.
