DIDs are a way.
Yup, I’m thankful for their work as well.
Do you have open registration? If not, you probably benefitted from other mods work on this one.
I use Element (Matrix) on desktop, phone and tablet. Currently with signal, IRC, Discord, etc. I will eventually try the SMS bridge, but I hear it works well. I run my own non-federated server (synapse) in docker.
Out of curiosity, what are the primary differences from Immich? I’ll be starting down this path soon.
I’m not sure I follow, OnlyOffice is FOSS, buit has hosted solutions you can pay for, or you can download it for free to run as desktop apps or to self-host.
Yea, Office was why I originally created WinApps. But really don’t need to use it anymore with OnlyOffice.
If you value MS office compatibility over all else, OnlyOffice is a better choice. I still use LibreOffice for PDFs, though.
OnlyOffice seems to have really good compatibility to me. And runs native in-browser for Next cloud integration.
The issue at hand is you fail to separate the fandom from the economic benefit driven to the author.
It’s like buying Nestle because you enjoy the chocolate, despite the fact that there are respectable companies that aren’t absolute monsters that also make chocolate you could be enjoying.
JKR is as much HP as Mark Schneide is Nestle. End of story. If you don’t support her views, find one of the millions of other wonderful works of literature to be a fan of.
Agreed.
Oh interesting, I didn’t know there was a citation feature but can’t see them in Thunder. PR time perhaps.
You can use Obtainium instead of F-droid. You can install Izzy, FD, or even better, direct from GitHub and other repos instead.
Oh, Komga is good, I just find everything about Kavita to be more modern. More options for layouts, deeper filtering, tablet and more phone friendly UI, etc.
Ahh, I tag my media using Mylar3, which adds a ComicInfo.xml
to each file. Kavita seems to prioritize that over the filesystem.
If you don’t already have one, use Kavita instead. It’s newer, has surpassed the Komga interface, and is still supported on T.
Came through on my instance 😉
I think it’s more about the fact that Lemmy is going to be used as, and have expectations of, a finished product, whether they say it is or not. Any project, FOSS or not, that grows this quick goes through this stage.
I’m not saying those expectations are valid, I’m just saying the vast majority of people will not be able to comprehend how an issue like this can make it’s way through given the maturity that Lemmy has, since it works so well most of the time despite being alpha.
Edit: Clarity: I think the 0 should be in the title regardless.
Must be an uncomfortable place.
Whenever I’m on a work call and mention something I found, I casually mention “on Lemmy.”
