Considering this user made an account on lemmy.ml to post this, and the community in world was made by the same user with a world account, maybe they don’t understand the federation aspect correctly. It seems to happen a lot, and it’s frustrating because it leads to one huge instance in lemmy.world.
I wouldn’t say this is world news. It’s barely even US national news tbh. It would be very appropriate in the midwest.social instance though if you haven’t put it there.
I wouldn’t say ‘often’ implies >50%, to imply that I would use something like ‘mostly’ or ‘generally’. I think if you think about a 15% failure rate in something else, for example starting a car, saying it often fails would be pretty apt.
