The block tool is way more powerful and theres block lists, theres custom feeds instead of toxic for you page that pushes ads and inflammatory posts.

Theres such a weird elitism coming from mastodon/activitypub people like can we chill and improve activitypub instead of constantly trying to shit on the atProtocol?

Whats the benefit of doing this VS using qbittorent binded to the ProtonVPN app so it stops if the vpn disconnects?

I wish anime/manga/etc studios were transparent about their costs and profit. I want to see if my favorite show has so far made enough money to afford the next season or for the team to afford their next project.

Kickstarter/Patreon should have shown creators that people will support what they like and even if they have made enough money people will continue to buy/donate to creators they love.

It needs a modern rewrite atleast in terms of ui but ideally a complete rewrite. I tried it 10 years ago and it still looks just as complicated

I just wish threads using the same link and threads that are crossposted shared comments with a link on top of the comment that said the title of the original post.

It sucks when an article is posted to 5 communities and i have to go to each one to read all the comments. I want to read all the comments about the article in one place. If the thread is about something specific and uses the same link I would still understand the context because the comment would include the link/title of the original thread it was posted to.

Is the paid part just for using their server? Like can I setup my own micro.blog instance and have people sign up for accounts for free and be able to post videos?

Where can we read about what they do differently? So far I’ve seen its written in python which is cool since it makes it easier for people to contribute.

Curious to know of they will enable the ability to follow users and subscribe to threads which are two of the biggest missing features on Lemmy in my opinion.

I wonder if they’ll enable parts of the Lemmy api so the Lemmy apps can be used for Piefed
