  • Double genocide is a literal Nazi talking point created, ironically enough, a Canadian Nazi.

The Ukrainian famine wasn’t intentional (many parts of Europe and even other parts of the USSR suffered equal if not greater famines). This is agreed upon by any serious historian who studied the USSR after its dissolution and the archives were opened.

The Waffen SS and other Ukrainian fascists organisations literally carried out pogroms agains Jews, Roma and Polish people. So your comparison is really disgusting to be honest. The USSR and the Ukrainian Red Army liberated many minorities across Easter Europe from fascists and Nazis.

It’s absolutely a historical fact that the USSR and the Red Armies were the most directly responsible for the Nazi defeat in WW2, the liberation of Jews, Roma and other minorities. And honestly, saving the fucking world.

You can hate Stalin, but it’s just undeniable he was absolutely instrumental in defeating Hitler.

If you resent the role of the USSR during WW2, and “see why someone would join the Waffen SS to fight the Russian invaders”, all that tells me is that you are a fucking Nazi.

  • I don’t want to say where I’m from, but I am very familiar with Brazilian politics so it shouldn’t matter.

None of those policies are communist. Communism is a future state of society after socialism, where there is no state, money or classes.

Those are social-democratic policies. Like there were in the US and Europe after WW2 up until the age of neoliberalism in the 70s-80s.

They are better than neoliberalism, don’t get me wrong. I much prefer Lula than a neoliberal like Temer or a fascist like Bolsonaro.

But that doesn’t change that Lula is a neoliberal, with some social-democratic policies.

It’s not entirely his fault (even though other politicians like Dilma are less neolib brained than Lula…) as Brazil is, like most other places in this planet, a province of the US Empire.

It’s an exploitation province, built to extract wealth into the central provinces. The elites that exist exist because they perpetuate this system. They benefit a little, but comparatively to the misery of the masses, they live as kings so it’s good enough for them.

Lula can keep doing what he does if he doesn’t stop the flow of wealth to the outside. If he stops it in any way, couped again.

We’re all second-class citizens of the Empire. Yes, even you workingperson from the US/Canada/Germany/UK etc etc.

  • Identity is cringe in general, no?

What I call people is more about my attempts to make the world make sense through categorisation. I don’t think my labels represent “reality” in any way. I understand every individual is a “cosmos” in themselves. So honestly reducing oneself to labels is rather silly and cringe no?

It’s a bad way to approach self-discovery and understanding. It just externalises the self into idealistic creations of others, aka, identities.

Like I never wanted for nations to exist, why would I abide by 18-19th century bourgeois ideologies of nationalism?

Having your ancestors be born in specific land makes you nothing.

But just to make it clear, if I like you I’ll respect you and your ideas. If I don’t, I won’t. I don’t respect Gusanos, because they are fascists. Many “Cuban-Americans” are not Gusanos.
