From the handful of times I rode the train, it’s only more comfortable if you plan to sleep. At full speed, it’s pretty rough. That being said, you won’t be at speed for long–you’ll get stuck behind freight and go at a snail’s pace for an hour or two at a time, most of the way. If someone is picking you up, tell them not to bother until a few hours after you’re scheduled to arrive.

I use Dreamhost, can’t speak to the privacy but the rates are pretty good

Not sure what kind of tinker board you’re working with, but the power of Pis has increased exponentially through its generations. There are tasks that would run slowly on a dedicated Pi2 that ran easily in parallel with a half dozen other things on a Pi4.

The older ones can still be useful, just for less intensive tasks.

Windows XP was a good, solid OS. Not FOSS, obviously, but I imagine most people would remember it fondly. Not heresy, maybe just some mild blasphemy.

Yep, I tried it first with spaces and got a generic looking portrait. I tried without spaces on the sai-digitalart setting and got this.

The Elephant Show was another big one for me. Got to meet Sharon, Lois, and Bram when I was too young to appreciate it.
