Memes are always the lowest common denominator compared to more community specific oriented posts. A meme can be digested in 5 seconds or less so people are easier to upvote it and move along.
Compared to more specific posts that usually requires you to read the whole post or visit the link to truly digest and then decide whether you want to upvote it or not.
It can still be built from the ground up but still uses the same design. If it’s a native app written in Swift not a PWA like Voyager I’d say that from the ground up still applies. Because you still need to code everything from scratch.

Yep, I also love the late 00s and early 10s feeling to Lemmy now. I find myself having more stuff done IRL since quitting reddit and browsing Lemmy occasionally.
Yep, I’ve migrated but my time spent browsing Lemmy vs Reddit has tanked. Less than 10% of my previous time. This is due to still waiting for a Sync for Lemmy release and lemmy.world having issues with session. I’ve been unable to log in consistently since the hack.
When I started browsing reddit only the most upvoted post break to thousands. Most just hover around 500s.
They meant that AFAIK DALL•E 3 has some protections when you’re trying to generate copyrighted subjects.
