Accessibility is very important to me as a blind user, and this helps tremendously.

For each account you register, you have to do 30 seconds worth of work. So to register one account, you do 30 seconds worth of work. To register 100 accounts, you do 100*30 or 3000 seconds (50 minutes) worth of work. Registering tens of thousands of accounts then becomes unfeasible.

A PoW could limit bots too. Require say 30 seconds of work before your registration submits. For regular users that isnt to bad. For bots its a PITA to get tons of accounts

They accept bitcoin, but i paid it with my monero via a swap service. Though the ought to accept monero directly.

Actually, lemmy has totally replaced all reddit usage for me and the only other social media i have is mastodon.

I hate how /e/os looks so much like IOS. If i wanted IOS i would buy an iphone. That launcher and those icons make me never want to install it ever.

They work fine with web apps, but from what i can tell native apps can pass more instructions to them like “skip this because its a link preview image” etc.

I am using a native app only because it works better with the platform screen readers.
