“I would rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned.” - Rich Feynman
It’s a fully open sourced app store for android. The code of all apps in the F-Droid repository are reviewed before being made available. So this is why the F-Droid version wont have these settings, as it’ll be an older version.
You could just use the version on F-Droid until Fossify releases their fork of it. But ya, wild how basically out of no where Simple Mobile sold out tough.
I had to change my address to my physical address from a PO Box in the first week of the year to prevent my account getting closed. This was with a major bank, and it’s all thanks to the patriot act. Then again, I do have a checking account with a much smaller bank and they haven’t said a word about it. I use the street address with a “unit number” for my box. Seems like they either haven’t dug into it and realized it’s a PO Box or they’re just small enough where they don’t care much about it like the big banks. So basically, you need a physical address these days, if you don’t you risk account closure.
Based on the fact only select few type 2’s take insulin injections, more or less based on not altering their diet/exercise, I figured it was for type 1’s. Up top the article states “There are approximately 425 million people worldwide with diabetes. Approximately 75 million of these inject themselves with insulin daily.” I interpreted this as a reference to type 1’s as there are many more type 2’s in the world. Regardless, it’s really cool news from where I stand.
In the top left there should be a search option. In settings preferences, be sure it’s set up to search all sources. I get tons of articles when putting in pretty specific topics.
Edit: It’s in the preferences under the file tab. Here’s screenshots of my home screen, plus the preferences I use for it to search papers.
I use JabRef for both finding research papers and generating bibliographies. It’s phenomenal and fully open source. Definitely worth checking out, I’m not even sure what I’d do without it these days!
Human trails just began, but since it’s such a specific drug that’s only able to kill a specific bacterial genus species, it appears very safe. Which means your microbiome is even totally safe. They’re hoping to be able to basically tailor it for any gram negative pathogen. It’s also selectively toxic as it only targets these bacteria, due to only gram negative bacteria having LPS!
Edit: My fault, got this crossed with another coversation. But elemental oxygen is a marvel that’s found across the universe. Here’s a sick periodic table which shows what lead to each elements formation:
Oxygen is an OG when it comes to electronegativity, meaning it loves making bonds but it can also handle being solo too. O2 (elemental oxygen) generates power when forming ions and then can brake future bonds too, which releases the chemical potential energy. Oxygen’s phenomenal! It handles business, but unlike sulfur and each element below it, oxygen will never break it’s octet. So it’s super powerful while also predictable.
I like where your heads at, here’s the study with a solid summary up front: https://www.thelancet.com/action/showPdf?pii=S2666-7568(23)00232-5
It has a great sample (nearly 10,000 folks with a mean age of 48.6 and having a standard deviation of 18.1) and the findings fortified previous studies. Biggest thing is the fact 12.7% of those with hearing aids rock em, and rocking em is the defining feature in the study. Even when non-consistent users were grouped together with those never having used a hearing aid, the consistent group lived longer. This alone shows going to the doc isn’t as impactful as you might to think.
Edit: The work also states more research is required, but the data is looking like something big would have to arise to disprove the construct!
As a regular visitor of various specialist, unless you’re on an insanely expansive PPO plan (mainly just big corp plans), a hearing doc won’t be much help with anything aside from hearing. You’ll be told to talk to your GP, unless your insurance covers you making whatever appointments. However, in the bigger picture, it makes WAY more sense an organism which evolved to respond to environmental cues lives longer when it can sense said cues.
Why do you say that? Here’s the study: https://journals.lww.com/pain/fulltext/9900/effect_of_exposure_based_vs_traditional_cognitive.475.aspx
There’s no mention of it only working with males. Cognitive Behavior Therapy is used when needed regardless of variations in reproductive “equipment” as far as I’m aware.
Looks like it’s straight up through Firefox now a days: https://lemmy.world/post/8834978
Invidious has a related content option, it’s in the settings where you should definitely already go to ensure the proxy option is turned on too.
Let hope so, I’ve seen how inhibiting RA can be at times. There’s a lot of unknowns when it comes to inflammation & fever in the human body. We know fever actually helps limit the extent of inflammation & some specific aspects of both, but with a clearer picture we’ll be able to make strides in many different areas.
Yep, by definition metabolism is the sum of all chemical reactions in an organism! It’s like the confusion with hypothesis and theory in media today, metabolism has basically been neutered the same way.
The crazy aspect is how many US citizens think their country only fights for freedom and anything contrary is fake news + Russian or Chinese propaganda
I despise it more than most as I enjoy the cold. Ten years back where I live, summer highs were 90 - 92°F and a one off. It’s already hit triple digits this year, twice…
Security enables privacy, that’s why they are commonly referenced together. From a hardware standpoint, Pixels are the most secure phones on the market and Google makes them with dev’s in mind. This is why Graphene OS, which is based on AOSP, currently only runs on Pixels.
