17M, I like computers, trains, space, radio-related everything and a bunch of other tech related stuff. User of GNU+Linux.
I am also dumb and worthless.
My laptop is HP 255 G7 running Manjaro and Linux Mint.
I own RTL-SDRv3 and RSP1 clone.
SDF Unix shell username: user224
Nice. It has bogo sort as well :)
As I said, it wasn’t updated in 10 years.
HOWEVER, it doesn’t mean it wouldn’t actually work. Google Play store just started doing this crap based on target API version. Due to that I often search Google for apps, check results from Play Store, and try getting an APK somewhere if I find app that looks interesting. The risk of that is obvious, just like with mod apks.
Edit: In case you trust me (which you really shouldn’t as I am just a stranger), I used this APK extractor: F-Droid link Github link
And uploaded the APK here: https://d.kuku.lu/ss3xcf7fe
VirusTotal report shows the hash matches already checked Joint Pics_1.2.0_Apkpure.apk
so it seems unmodified by the APK extractor (well, that’s what it said before my checks anyway as it uses filename from last previous check). It also came out clean, but that’s not 100% to be trusted, as usual.
I really like JointPics: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.gr.java_conf.se_3.jointpics
Unfortunately, it wasn’t updated for 10 years, so it may not work for too long.
I don’t judge by domain names.
It’s also listed in the top 2 at FMHY: https://fmhy.net/audiopiracyguide#download-sites
And best site at DB0 megathread (!piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com): https://rentry.co/megathread-music#free-mp3-download
Recently a pirate website for music, free-mp3-download.net got updated with this crap included. You have to toggle it off every time. All vendors separately. I took a stopwatch, it takes me around 2 minutes and 50 seconds.
Sounds friendly.
I don’t have a use for them
Not having a use for extra storage. Wow.
Anyway: !datahoarder@lemmy.ml
Perhaps you could somehow run openvpn in Termux as SOCKS proxy on localhost. Then connect another instance to that, again, again, again,…
Then finally try using OpenVPN Android app and connect to the last proxy. Don’t forget split-tunelling for termux.
That’s fine. It at least links to their GitHub page for now.
But… you’re not connected to all of them. At least it seems.
I will keep the magnets if I ever get into this in the future, but not the platters. I’ll just safely destroy them and dispose of them.
So far I only had 3 laptops and no desktops. I had 0 HDD failures, since I only ever had 3 of them so far.
The oldest one is more than 17 years old 80GB 2.5" Fujitsu HDD.
Spill the tea
Why though?
If you want any more privacy, just download Wikipedia Maxi (EN) package from kiwix.org (a bit over 100GB) and self-host a kiwix server.
Sup. And all this data would still be federating, it has to be. That just means that some data-collecting company could make a fake instance and get everything together. Or someone could just fork it back.
Well, it does if you do a lot.
Even less related, but how did you learn using GIMP?
Currently I just use various phone apps, which is obviously not quite ideal.
Oh, I see. They even stopped sponsoring Linux Mint, which is how I found SMT.
Edit: They used to be a gold sponsor: https://web.archive.org/web/20220201203412/https://linuxmint.com/sponsors.php
Which means $1,000/month.
Just some old GNOME icons. I really like 3D look, so I also use the Oxygen (KDE4) theme. I dislike the modern flat minimalist look.
As far as I am aware, the Baofengs only blocked it in firmware and there’s some hacks to unlock it without hardware mods.
Also, did you buy that last one in the US or from somewhere like AliExpress? If the former, could have just been old stock, if the latter, I am not really surprised.
I don’t know if they implemented something against screen recording, but I use SimpleScreenRecorder. But even VLC can do screen recording using the “Stream” option.
I don’t tend to torrent much, but when I do, no. My network speed is so slow already that capping it any further still wouldn’t leave me with usable bandwidth on download. Upload I also don’t cap because I am behind CG-NAT which makes any upload quite rare.
When I say slow, I mean slow. During peak load times my download speed may dip as low as 0.1Mbps. Upload usually stays around 2-4Mbps, so that’s fine. Thankfully that’s rare. Usually I can get 1-2Mbps even during the day.
