That looks awesome! Marvel introduced a Native American Captain America in The United States of Captain America #3. He was a really cool character! The whole series had several different people who took on the helm of protecting their communities under the name of Captain America. On one part I love this, on another part why would a Native American carry a symbol of the stars and stripes?
That’s a tough question. The new Captain America has grappled with that exact thought. He’s Black and fully recognizes that America was built on the back of slaves and even receives criticism for wearing the red, white, and blue with stars and stripes.
I don’t recall his exact reasoning, but it’s something like America is his country too and he gets to have a say in where we go from here, just like everyone else. I think that’s a really powerful idea. We get to make America what we want and we have the opportunity to accept people for who they are and reject hatred.
The second one is truly amazing. I want all the comicbooks!
