    Someone just watching Japan and writing it all down.

    They’re about 20-30 years ahead of the exact problems the rest of the developed world is now seeing. Their property boom was in the 80s and 90s where things became completely unaffordable.

      Yep, we’re 5-10 years away from the Hikkikomori and NEET problems Japan started facing in the late 90s, early 00s due to people feeling socially isolated and completely unsupported by the system that was built on the premise of infinite economic growth.

    Once upon a time, the US had an Ellis island. Nowadays, it has a border wall.

    Coincidentally, rural depopulation and illegal immigration have also become “challenges” for European countries.
