There are still some active Nitter instances, but they are expected to shut down in the near future as the remaining tokens expire. Three weeks ago, Zed wrote on GitHub that “Nitter is dead.”
put all your academic or professional accounts into a single list. It’s nice to check into a slightly smarter feed from time to time.
I’ve not tried out Mastodon yet, but am interested, and find this comment intriguing. Am I to understand that you can create custom feeds with a subset of the accounts you follow? Sounds like a good feature.

Seems like a neat tool. Does it run the risk of putting unnecessary load on small instances?
Or do both instances need to opt in?

This situation seems a bit more complex than simply “Galen Weston is a scumbag”, but I am not an expert in Bangladeshi politics.
The fact that the international safety group were granted the authority to evacuate a factory seems a bit strange (could this not have been accomplished by a domestic group?), and the fact that the local factory owners took steps to regain control doesn’t surprise me.
That’s one middle-aged baby if I ever saw one.
And I love how the model can’t make up its mind whether the cats should be bipedal or quadrupedal, so it just draws legs wherever they fit (and sometimes where they don’t).

According to Wikipedia, ActivityPub is the “most widely used” protocol, but not the “only” protocol. Still not sure if email would qualify though.
